Abstract:
QCD spin effects play a crucial role in probing nuclear structures and have been extensively studied in hadronic physics. However, their potential for exploring new physics beyond the Standard Model and quantum entanglement phenomena has been largely overlooked. In this talk, I will discuss how transverse spin effectsencoded in quark fragmentation functions can probe electroweak dipole interactions of light quarks, which are otherwise challenging to access due to their chirality-fipping nature in traditional searches at the LHC and other facilities.
Additionally, while auantom entanalement has been observed in top-ouark poirs at the lHC. extending such studies to ight-quark systems remains a challenge, as conventional methods rely on perturbative decavs of masive particles. I will present new approaches to investigate entanglement and test Bell inequality violations in light-quark pairs using QCD transverse spin correlations.
